Relationship

Direct ancestors are grouped by gender and generation. If a person is a direct ancestor in multiple ways and to varying degrees, the smaller degree is usually used, or all are given when relevant.

Further children of direct ancestors are grouped by gender and generation.
misufalet|Aunt misulfatre|Great-aunt yotrilet|Uncle yotriltre|Great-uncle
The "l" only appears from the second generation onwards.
Further partners of direct ancestors and all other persons who are only connected through another marriage of a direct relative receive the suffix "selif". The children of a direct ancestor with another partner receive the suffix "ak egs", literally "originating from one". The word for in-laws of uncles and aunts of any generation are gender-independent.

Less frequently, the parents of the mitur selif are also referred to as miret selif and fusret selif. To distinguish them from other partners of the biological miret or fusret, the title of the person from whom the selif branch splits off can be given. Here, fusret selif miret for partner of the miret versus fusret selif fustra for parents of the mitur selif.
